Recommendation!!!
I was a student of Sandros taking percussion lessons (congas). I had so much fun and gained some good techniques while studying with him. He's a cool guy and definitely worth paying a visit with a drum or two and I strongly recommend him as a teacher if you're looking for an enthusiastic guy to guide you through the jungle of percussion and every of its dimensions. best wishes to you Sandro ;)

Hi Sandro...
I hope you had good holidays. I just wanted to tahnk you for the lessons so much. I had my first band practice since our last lesson and it was amazing. And I realised that I will have to buy proper cymbals. With all the technique you taught me I am still playing the same pair of sticks and its not used up like all the pairs before ;-).

Although only having him as a teacher for 3 months, Sandro has proven to be an excelent teacher and his teaching technique goes in the right direction, letting you to develop your skills in an eclectic way. i only wish i didnt had to go so early. cheers and all the best!

Hey guys
I had for my first time in life music’s lessons, with Sandro as teacher. Before I couldn’t understand much about music, it was kind of mystical. Now there are still mysteries but I can see much clearer. The drum lessons he gave allowed me, in very short time, a few meetings, and some practice to get a level I was not been not able to reach in 6 month at home, watching Youtube videos. I would highly recommend him as a teacher!
Hope we can meet soon again when I’ll be back in Berlin.

Hey Sandro! :-) Great Page!
When I remember the time with you as my (first) teacher I remember an important time for developing an other relationship with music - especially with learning instruments, because you always gave me the feeling that you know that I can reach, what I want to reach, or even have to reach. (Even I was too lazy sometimes ;-) And because I had the feeling you've got trust in me, I had trust in myself too and I still have! That's the biggest point. "Listen to the music, and never give up on yourself" like Steve Ray Vaughn sad, even he was a Guitar player. ;-)
Altogether you teached me that learning is not boring, I just have to look where I want to go. You've put me on the right path, and this distinguishes a really good teacher, like you, from a bad one. But I can tell you that I don't think about you like a teacher, but like a friend, because you are very friendly and human, you've got hearth, soul and mountain boots. ;-)
I really hope we can stay in touch!

Sandro has taught me darbuka for the last few months. What’s great about his method is the way he mixes theory (unfortunately necessary if you want to improve) with the practical. Lessons are never boring. He encourages you to just “let go” and have fun. What more could you expect from an Italian! I particularly like lessons where he gets all excited about a rhythmic point he is trying to make and uses his entire body to express it. This usually ends up with him marching and writhing around his living room. This is how learning percussion should be.

Although I was only able to take few darbuka percussion classes with Sandro before I came back to warmer lands, in those few sessions Sandro directed me on the right track to discover and nourish my percussion skills. Hes empathetic, caring and at the same time disciplined method has proven to be both useful and inspiring.
